I mean, seriously. How cute is that? Apart from the first one (which went badly), exams so far have been okay, but not great.

It basically rained for 48 hours, with the result being a large pool forming outside my room. Kat had been singing the praises of being able to watch the ducklings from her room all term, and I can see what the attraction is – it was great being able to do just that.

Exams started today and it’s a Bank Holiday, so that means only one thing: rain. At least the new batch of ducklings were able to enjoy it, though! The rain was so bad that one of the ceiling panels at the Cavendish just collapsed under the weight of the water that had leaked in. To top it off, the exam did not go well.

Again, I have Jon to thank for this, who seems to love playing with the long exposure function on my camera. It’s Chris and myself revising in the Reading Room with me on the sofa and Chris in a chair, but Jon’s twisting during the exposure has left us ethereally superimposed.

The idea here was solid I feel, but it just didn’t come off. The intention was the lights from various appliances on my desk would illuminate everything on my desk, leaving the silhouette of my mug in the foreground. It sort of worked, but nowhere near as well as I was hoping.

News drifted through today that we had a new set of six ducklings. I wasted probably more time than I should have done watching them in the pool at the front of college, but it was terribly relaxing, and didn’t even remotely resemble work.

My Asterix T-shirt, which is twelve years old, is beginning to show it’s age. Edit from the future: This is weird. I could have sworn I didn’t find the holes until a couple of weeks after this photo, but here we are. I must have just been exhausted.
