This is one of the reasons that I’m glad I’m doing this; looking for pleasant if not groundbreaking photos that I might otherwise not appreciate; as a family we’ve walked past the lake for years, butit’s been a while since I stood and looked at it properly.

Mum got two free tickets for the Scissor Sisters at the O2 (i.e. the Millennium Dome) on Tuesday. I gave the second ticket to Chris, and we both really enjoyed it; we were far closer to the stage than I was anticipating which is always a bonus; I think that being seated was a heavy factor in me enjoying myself more than when I saw them at V a couple of years ago.

I devoured the new Jasper Fforde far faster than Harry Potter (though held off on starting it). This is the start of another four Thursday Next books, and it shows. The cliffhanger is…. tall, and I don’t even want to consider the fact that I’ll have to wait at least another year for even a small piece of closure.

Chris hosted a sending-off party for Leah (who’s in Germany for her year out), which was quite a chilled affair – as exemplified here by Bella, who definitely wasn’t going to be flustered by anything.
